Using Kiosk Mode at Parents' Evenings

Make surveying parents quick and easy by taking advantage of a captive audience at your parents' evening using Kiosk Mode.

What is Kiosk Mode?

Kiosk Mode creates a parent or student survey hub that can be used on iPads, tablets, laptops, or any available device during your event.

How to Set Up Kiosk Mode

Open the Survey Builder page.
Click Kiosk Mode in the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Enter your school's URN.
Select either Parent Mode or Student Mode.

Your kiosk is now ready for participants to complete the survey.

Tip: If you accidentally proceed too far, or you're testing the setup and need to return to the Parent/Student Mode Selection screen, simply double-click your school logo. This will take you back to the mode selection page.

How Participants Access the Survey

Parents/Carers will enter:

Their child's name
Their child's date of birth

Students will enter:

Their name
Their date of birth

Why Is This Important?

Participants are not given a generic survey link because the system uses the information entered to connect responses to the pupil records held within Edu Intelligence.

This allows survey results to be analysed alongside important pupil characteristics, such as:

Pupil Premium
EAL (English as an Additional Language)
SEND
Other demographic data

As a result, you'll receive more detailed and meaningful insights, helping you identify where support and resources are needed most. This means you can target interventions and resources more effectively, saving time and effort when acting on survey feedback.
